The Lakeland Alliance is co-hosting a free public event that will showcase the importance of clean water in our daily lives. Come out over your lunch break to grab a free bite to eat and learn about the intriguing history of drinking water in Peterborough with Wayne Stiver, drinking water expert and Vice President of Water Services with the Peterborough Utilities Group. In addition to a free lunch and refreshments there will be draws for great water-related prizes!

World Water Day
Our Water: Caring For It From Watershed to Tap

The Lakeland Alliance is co-hosting a public exhibition of agencies and organizations working locally to protect our water.
Join us at the Canadian Canoe Museum and learn how our water resources are managed and who is ensuring that it is safe for us all.
Bring the kids! At 11:10am we will have Glen Caradus of Paddling Pupeteers fame performing his 'Watershed Ed' show that educates young ones about how water flows through our watershed and why it is important to conserve and protect it.
- Informative Speakers! At 12:10pm we have Wayne Stiver (Vice President Water Utilities Services) from Peterborough Utilities talking about how the City treats our water, the system that delivers it to our home and where it goes when we are done with it. Meredith Carter (Manager of Environmental Services) from the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority will talk about how how the Authority is working to protect our drinking water at the source.

Restoring Natural Shorelines Workshop
